Music Theory is an integral part of all instrumental lessons I offer.

Theory is taught alongside your instrument in all lessons, however some students feel they need some extra help, or more time to spend on theory, or would like separate theory lessons if their current instrumental teacher does not offer theory alongside their practical lessons.

I offer individual Theory lessons right through to Grade 8 level, and specialise in coaching for the Grade 5 Theory exam as Grade 5 Theory is a prerequisite for practical Grades 6-8. All teaching is adapted to the students needs, and can easily be tailored to cover any gaps in knowledge.

I also offer Theory classes during the school holidays for groups at Beginners (No knowledge – Grade 1) Intermediate (Grade 2-4) and Grade 5 level. More information on classes will be available on the News page, including cost and how to sign up.
